Here’s the next accessory for shooters that I’ve come up with, in collaboration with EMDOM USA. Are you tired of bringing your loose ammo to the range in ratty plastic or mesh bags, tearing at the seams with rounds falling out of splitting sides and open tops? Do you wish ammo cans were lighter and didn’t take up space when empty? Do you hate the noise ammo cans make when they’re half full and fall over when you’re turning in the car? Do you wish ammo can handles were more comfortable to carry? Well, I’ve got the solution for you – the EMDOM USA/MM Ammo SAC (Soft Ammo Can).
The XTxx Rail Switch Tailcap is a replacement tailcap for the X Series Weapon lights (X200, X300, X400) that combines a push/toggle function with a remote rail mount tail switch. The ‘xx’ stands for the length of the cable and plug – the XT07 includes the 7″ SR07 rail mount tape switch.
The XT07 retains the rotary toggle switch function on the X Series tailcap – press on it for momentary on and rotate it for constant on. In addition, there is a lockout toggle switch which is used to activate or turn off the system. By turning it off, no switches will work and the light cannot be accidentally activated. The lockout toggle switch itself is protected by a ‘tail’ protruding from the cap. Above the toggle switch is a socket for the SR07 remote rail mount switch.
Introducing the EMDOM USA/MM Battle Suspenders – a project that has been in work and development since the end of 2006. I’m always looking to improve upon existing designs, and while I was collaborating with EMDOM on other projects I saw elements of EMDOM’s other products that I felt could be used to create a pretty good suspender, so Ken and I put our heads together on this one as well. The goal of this project was to make the best, most comfortable set of suspenders that we could, for pistol/combat belts that would be comfortable and low profile for under armour. I wanted more comfort than webbing-only suspenders while remaining less bulky than a fully padded harnesses/LBE. I also wanted it to be comfortable with heavier loads, simplify the attachment method, use lower profile hardware and eliminate the possibility of the shoulder straps slipping off the shoulders.
Triple Aught Design’s (TAD Gear) Pathfinder Cardigan Jacket is part of their new Pathfinder Series of low weight and warmth to weight ratio 3+ season everyday wear. With the Pathfinder Jacket, TAD has taken the latest fabrics and technology in the outdoor clothing industry and engineered an extremely comfortable jacket. It’s sort of a ‘hybrid’ or in-between’ garment; when the Ranger Hoodie is too warm and a T-shirt is not enough. Consider it a full zip technical replacement for the sweatshirt with added utility.
We first saw the prototype of the TangoDown BGV-MK46 vertical grip with ADM (American Defense Manufacturing) quick-release rail mount at the 2008 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Well, the new TD/ADM vertical grip is finally here and will be available shortly from TangoDown dealers. The new ADM-mount grips are quick-release versions of TangoDown’s existing models; the Standard length with tape switch pocket, the Standard length with ITI (Insight Technology Inc) tape switch pocket, and the Stubby (K) version. All are available in Black, Flat Dark Earth and Foliage Green.
The Advanced Tactical Camera (ATC) made by Pacific Concepts and available from U.S. Cavalry is an affordable option for those looking for a self-contained video camera to record crucial events (or, for just plain fun). For military, law enforcement or other government agencies, having a record of events and operations where force has been used can provide an unbiased witness, which in today’s sue-happy world, can be crucial to justifying said use of force. Of course, it works both ways, and provide accountability as well. A video camera can record a mission’s events for use in the debrief, or as training material. Consumer video cameras are available, but most are too bulky. Small, professional quality ‘lipstick’ cameras are also available, but the systems tend to be expensive, or the recording device is separate from the camera unit. The ATC is a digital video camera and recording device which is light and small enough to mount on a weapon or helmet, or just about any place you can figure out how to mount it to. For the civilian, a portable, self-contained camera can be used for all sorts of sports or recreational activities.
This beautifully painted poster was painted digitally by a friend, Duke. It’s a great depiction of a U.S. sniper team that Duke based on research while creating it. He took on this project to benefit American Snipers.org, which is a non-profit organization run by both military and police snipers, whose sole mission is to ensure that every shooter in harm’s way has the equipment they need to accomplish their mission, and return to their friendly area alive.
In a departure from standard first or second-line gear, the TAD Gear Bandoleer is an over-the-shoulder MOLLE platform designed to organize and transport equipment in a low profile, quickly deployed system. It’s meant to be a rapid-deploy, grab and go platform when a full rig isn’t needed or there isn’t time to put one on.
