The Trauma Kit NOW! from Blue Force Gear is a trauma kit pouch that is designed to give the user one-handed access to the contents in the shortest time possible. This is another innovative design from Stephen Hilliard (now with BFG), designer of ATS Tactical Medical Blow-out Pouch. The TKN! pouch differs from the ATS Blow-out pouch by having a removable insert that is yanked out of the pouch, rather than having the pouch detach from the platform. This saves time as the contents are immediately available – no zippers to open or deal with. The TKN! is constructed out of 500D Cordura nylon for weight savings and utilizes Texcel solution dyed webbing for low IR and weight.
Original SOE Gear now offers their take on the small, lightweight rig in the form of their Micro Rigs. Originally designed as bandoleers for a quick grab and go, the Micro Rigs can also be worn as mini-chest rigs for a more stable platform. There are two models: the AK/M4 Micro Rig, and the PALS Micro Rig.
The MM T-shirt is now available in limited numbers, designed by military pin-up artist Andrew Bawidamann.
The Sawfly-TX Tactical Eyewear System from Revision Eyewear is the next generation ballistic spectacle that is designed to provide superior communications and headset capability with two custom lens shapes for enhanced mission performance.
The Tru-Spec Combat Shirt available from USCAV is Tru Spec’s ‘Combat Shirt’ – style garment which was pioneered by Crye Precision’s Combat Shirt. This style of garment, with its BDU-fabric sleeves combined with a lighter-weight moisture wicking torso sans pockets, is a logical design for use under gear or body armour, and emerged in the Army’s new Combat Shirt made by Massif and the USMC’s FROG2 Combat Shirt (produced by Crye).
