The Vipera Shell from S.O.D. (Special Operations Department) was developed for Italian SOF as an insulated cool/cold weather jacket that is designed to provide protection against the elements while being extremely breathable, comfortable and durable. It’s not really like any other soft shell out there and can play the role of both soft shell or fleece jacket.
It’s been more than four years since Camelbak acquired SW Motorsports Gloves, and formed their Government-Military Glove division. Up until this year, the product offerings were pretty much what SWMS had before the acquisition. For this year, some of the models have been re-designed and a couple of new models added.
Triple Aught Design’s (TAD Gear) Tech T base layers are their newest addition to the TAD layering family, and a departure from their previous Regulator base layers featured previously. Instead of the merino wool used in the Regulator garments, the Tech T’s are made from silky smooth CoconaÂ® blended textiles which utilize activated carbon from coconut shells integrated into the textile fiber to provide quick dry time, odor adsoprtion, and UV protection. The Tech Ts are offered in a short sleeve version and a long sleeve version, and are designed as performance base layers for year-round use.
