    EMDOM USA/MM TNT (Tactical/Non-Tactical) Bag

    October 20th

I’m proud to introduce my latest collaboration with EMDOM USA, the TNT (Tactical/Non-Tactical) Bag. This project started back in mid 2007, when I expressed my desire to Ken at EMDOM to design a bag that is practical enough for EDC (Every Day Carry) use, doesn’t look overtly ‘tactical’, but still has some gun-friendly/tactical features concealed internally. I have seen most of the ‘messenger/Spartan/tactical man-purse, patrol, tactical briefcase, bail-out bags’ out there; and there are some very good designs to fit a variety of needs. But, none of them were matched exactly what I had in mind, so I set about thinking and sketching up a design.

    EMDOM USA/MM Gunslinger Sling

    August 3rd

Ever since EMDOM USA and I introduced the URS (Universal Rig Strap) Sling two years ago, I’ve had numerous requests and inquiries from URS Sling users for a single or two-point sling that was compatible with the connector that the URS uses. The connector attaches to the receiver end plate, or to a swivel at the rear of the stock, and uses a female SR buckle. As far as I know, it’s not compatible with any other sling. URS users wanted a sling that could be attached to the URS connector for stand-alone use, when not using a rig. In response to those requests, EMDOM is now offering a sling that URS users can use without having to remove the connector from their weapon. It’s called the Gunslinger Sling.

    EMDOM-MM Battle Suspenders

    June 18th

Introducing the EMDOM USA/MM Battle Suspenders - a project that has been in work and development since the end of 2006. I’m always looking to improve upon existing designs, and while I was collaborating with EMDOM on other projects I saw elements of EMDOM’s other products that I felt could be used to create a pretty good suspender, so Ken and I put our heads together on this one as well. The goal of this project was to make the best, most comfortable set of suspenders that we could, for pistol/combat belts that would be comfortable and low profile for under armour. I wanted more comfort than webbing-only suspenders while remaining less bulky than a fully padded harnesses/LBE. I also wanted it to be comfortable with heavier loads, simplify the attachment method, use lower profile hardware and eliminate the possibility of the shoulder straps slipping off the shoulders.

    Kifaru Pods and Grab-it Panel

    May 10th

Have you ever needed to strap a bulky item like a sleeping bag or bulky jacket to the outside of a pack but had difficulty with it slipping out of the straps? Kifaru’s Military Pods are the simplest, quickest way of attaching large, bulky gear to the outside of your ruck.
Kifaru’s Grab-it Panel is a trapezoidal ‘beaver tail’ that attaches to the bottom of any Kifaru pack, and provides a means of stashing a jacket or bulky item outside the pack for quick and easy access.

    Kifaru Organizer and Mini-Long Pockets

    March 11th

Kifaru’s Organizer Pocket was designed specifically for mounting on the outside of a pack, adding storage and organization, and quick retrieval of small items that might get lost inside a larger compartment. It measures 9″ wide, 7.5″ tall and 1.5″ deep, and weighs 9.25 oz. It’s not meant to be used as an ‘admin’ pouch on a vest or chest rig - it’s too large. It requires six columns of PALS webbing for optimal mounting using two long Malice clips. Two tab loops on the top of the back allow attachment of a strap or shoulder sling for stand-alone use. The Organizer is constructed out of 1000D cordura on hte outside and the internal pockets are 420D.

    Emdom-MM AK/M4 CQB Mag Pouch

    January 13th

Here’s another collaboration with EMDOM I’m happy to be associated with. The growing number of AK shooters out there (including me) and the lack of good AK mag pouches prompted the Emdom-MM AK/M4 CQB Mag Pouch. It’s designed to fit all 30-round AK-type magazines - AK47 (7.62mm) and 74 (5.45mm). A plus to the Emdom-MM CQB AK/M4 mag pouch is that it will also do double duty and work with M4 30-round magazines.

    Kifaru Regulator™ Sleeping Bag System

    January 3rd

A couple of years ago, when Mel from Kifaru let on that they were developing a new sleeping bag, I knew that it’d be something different from the rest and worth the wait. The Regulator is truly an integrated sleeping bag ’system’ from start to finish, not an upgrade, addition nor retrofit to an existing product. When it was finally introduced, Kifaru did not disappoint. True to their “Modular and Multifunctional” motto, Kifaru’s Regulator™ Sleeping Bag System introduces a revolutionary new concept to sleeping bags and sleep systems, offering a thoroughly modular design, using the finest shell material and synthetic insulation available. Every component is designed to be versatile, rugged and extremely light weight.

    ROLLYPOLY BACKPACK™ and ROLLYPOLY EXTREME™

    December 20th

Two new additions to the Rollypoly line are the Rollypoly Backpack and Rollypoly Extreme. In a nutshell, the RP Backpack and Extreme are folding backpacks that roll up into a relatively small package.
Both the Rollypoly Backpack and Extreme are great for putting inside a larger pack or luggage when you’re traveling, and you don’t have the space to carry a larger, heavier pack.
